LeBron James has broken many NBA records, but his most recent achievement is going to be a tough one to beat. As one of the most competitive athletes on the planet and one of the best to ever play the game of basketball, The King has managed to break his own all-time high scorers record. James is in his 22nd season, in great shape and looking to make a deep playoff run.
Earlier today, James went into the game against the New Orleans Pelicans a point shy of 50,000 career points. A pass from Luka Doncic and a 3-point shot later, a new record was set. Lebron became the first player in NBA history to score 50,000 career points. This extends his lead as the NBA’s all-time record scorer.
LeBron finished the game with 34 points, 6 assists, and 8 rebounds as the Lakers got another victory, 136-115. This is their 7th straight victory. As the teams in the league continue to gear up for the playoffs, having a team with both stars in great shape and on the floor is an underrated blessing for the LA Lakers.
Luka had a great night as well, with 30 points and 15 assists.
