Maybets Marks Mother’s Day by Celebrating the Women Who Do It All

Mother’s Day is a time to reflect on the incredible impact that mothers have on our families, communities, and country. In every town across Kenya from busy cities to quiet villages mothers are raising children, running businesses, and leading households with strength, compassion, and dignity.

At Maybets, we know that mothers don’t just need praise they need real support. And that’s why our commitment to them extends far beyond this one special day.

Mother’s Day. Year-Round Support for Women Who Do It All

Earlier this year, during International Women’s Day, Maybets carried out community initiatives focused on empowering women many of whom are also mothers. We gave shopping vouchers, aprons, and parasols (umbrellas) to women working in open markets and roadside stalls at Kiambu market.

These items may seem simple, but they have real impact. Aprons help women stay clean and professional while working. Parasols offer protection from long hours under the sun. And shopping vouchers reduce everyday financial stress. These are not just gifts they are tools that help mothers carry out their work with dignity and ease.

CSR in Luanda. Uplifting Mothers in Difficult Times

One of the most emotional highlights of our outreach this year was our CSR visit to Luanda, where we spent time with mothers in Emuhaya Sub-County hospital.

During this visit, we shared gifts with women facing health challenges some during childbirth, others undergoing treatment. It was a small way of showing love, compassion, and respect during trying times. These women reminded us of the resilience and grace that mothers show, even in the toughest moments.

Supporting Women in Business

Beyond gifting, Maybets actively supports mothers who run small businesses during our nationwide activations. Whether it’s helping them reach more customers, providing branded merchandise, or simply encouraging visibility in crowded markets, our goal is to uplift women entrepreneurs.
