The San Antonio Spurs put up a great fight to clinch victory over the Warriors in one hell of a game this morning. Harrison Barnes put up a three-point turnaround jump shot to pull the Spurs ahead just at the buzzer. Both teams went toe-to-toe throughout the 4th quarter, with Draymond making the last 2 regular free throws to even the game with 0.03 left on the clock.

San Antonio took a time-out to strategize, which ended with the ball in Barnes’ hands. While Barnes was not the choice for the three. He stepped up and took the shot, winning the game for the Spurs. San Antonio led the game in blocks, field goals, free throws, and 3-point percentage, while the Warriors had more steals and assists.

The Spurs starting lineup of Devin Vassell, Harrison Barnes, Bismack Biyombo, Chris Paul, and Stephon Castle put up 64 points. Coming off the bench, Keldon Johnson put up an impressive 21 points, Sandro 11, Julian 14, and Blake Wesley with 4 points. All-Star Victor Wembanyama did not make an appearance since injuring his shoulder earlier in the year. He is expected to sit out the rest of the season. The Spurs rest at position 13 on the NBA standings and will not be making the playoffs this season.
Warriors continue to struggle in the minutes Steph Curry is off the floor. This is one of the reasons they traded buckets for most of the game with the Spurs. The Warriors acquired Jimmy Butler in a trade for Andrew Wiggins among other players not so long ago. This was in the hopes that it would strengthen their offensive play. While Butler is a great addition to the Warriors, could it be that the Warriors brought him on a little too late in the season?
The Spurs face the Suns next at the Phoenix Arena, while the Warriors will go against Portland at the Moda Center in Portland on 12th April.
